Looking forward to the new Fake Blood EP coming out in September on Cheap Thrills / Blood Music! Here is a short text from the Cheap Thrills SC:

Consisting of three fresh new productions that could only be the work of one man, the EP kicks off with the intense distorted sounds of ‘Deep Red’, a track with more twists and turns than an episode of Tales of the Unexpected and a bassline that hits like a slap in the face.

With no let up throughout, ‘Voices’ and ‘Medieval’ complete the EP, offering up everything from warped folk melodies and sublime piano riffs to those all important bouncing basslines, further proof, if needed, of Fake Blood’s skill in manipulating samples, noises and beats to create sounds unlike any other producer around.

Something a little different from Fake Blood! Few words from the man himself:

I’ve done 4 x 1 hour mixes (and a 5th is in the pipeline), solely made up of old tunes sampled in classic Hip Hop tracks – but cut up on two copies / decks to re-create the loops / chops people used. I didn’t use any compilations, reissues, bootlegs, or downloads. All originals. I’ve always been a digging fiend on the side! But – to save the original pressings (and also cos it’s hard enough to get one copy of some of these, let alone two!) – I loaded them into Serato vinyl, so I could scratch away to my heart’s content, without ruining anything! So here’s VOL.1. Further volumes to follow… Enjoy…

First off is a new Fake Blood remix which in my opinion could be a lot sicker compared to what he’s already done but it’s still fresh and has the build up capabilities to drop just dandy. Plus I think it’ll grow on me like a lot of his other tracks have. However am looking forward to the Medieval release with hopefully a few more tracks attached!

Fake Blood started his new label “Blood Music” in September with the first release being from Clouds, two guys from Perth, Scotland putting out some heavy big room bass! Below is my favorite of the two tracks on the EP.
