Ducks on Repeat formed in April 2009. After a few quacking gigs together with the discovery of a shared passion of electronic music, dfind and daboo formed the collaboration. A quack here and a quack there later, a number of dancefloors were blown away by the wicked medley of bass-heavy music and tech house surfing through all kinds of fresh electronic sounds and rhythms.
After the successful beginning of Ducks on Repeat as a DJ collaboration, it was just a matter of time before the two started to produce their own tunes and have dove into liveset experiments.
Since 2011, the Ducks were recruited onto Neustadtmusik.
At young age the two were influenced by artists such as Tribe Called Quest, DJ Krush, Shadow, Fatboy Slim, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Leftfield, Propellerheads. Later on when going into mixing they started with Nu Skool Breaks (Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs, Elite Force, etc.) and Drum n Bass (DJ Hype, Goldie, Aphrodite, LTJ Bukem, etc.) and slowly progressed with the development of electronic music.
Round basslines, tight beats and ethno percussions are a few things that represent the outcome of the ducks’ musical roots. Some examples of the artists that the ducks are currently diggin’ are: Sébastien Léger, Stimming, Bowski, Super Flu, Max Bett, Format:B, Daniel Steinberg, Zinc, Fake Blood, Crookers and more.
DJ Dfind is based in Luzern, Switzerland. He started mixing in 2004 while living in the UK. In 2006 he moved to Switzerland and continued to evolve on his musical journey.
DJ Daboo grew up in Luzern, Switzerland. He’s been DJing since 2000.
