I would introduce them myself but they’ve got quite a nice little text from their site so here it is:
“Friends since spawn, the boys began djing after failing to impress on the boyband scene. This was due in part to follicular unpredictability and a rare mutation of viciously inappropriate Tourette’s. Dr. Fox was less than impressed, “…you boys are utter shite!” The duo didn’t see these issues as obstacles on the dj circuit, so they learnt how to count to four and bought some shit records. After realising there was more to the music than first appeared they set off on a wonderful adventure of fun and fantasy, evolving into musically-bound frogs trapped in socks filled with low slung trashy dungaree-wearing house music.”
I discovered Frogs in Socks way too late but better late than never. Really diggin’ their productions and remixes. Belows are my favourite picks – some free to download some not. Enjoy!
Two Door Cinema Club – What you Know (Frogs in Socks ‘Know It All’ Remix)
Frogs in Socks – It Don’t Mean A Thing
A rework of Louis Armstrong & Duke Ellington.
Guy Gerber – Timing (Frogs in Socks Remix)
This tech’s groovin!
L Kubic – Voyager (Frogs in Socks Remix)
Best part around four minutes after the breakdown. Feeling some bloody8bit vibes!
Be sure to check out their soundcloud for more tasty tunes and mixes.
Tune in to this carioca ragg stomper at walking speed! Listen to it below full volume, then download!
Ducks on Repeat aka djs Dfind and Daboo are back to session and blast fri-son away once again – Round 3. Bring your dancing feet and prepare yourself for some fat tunes coming out of a wonderfully heavy sound system! See below for a little vid from our session there last year.
Here’s a new edit of this classic that you can download for free from Biscuit Reality. It’s got quite a lot of instrumental in there which makes it easier to play after all the overplayedness.
I waited and waited but never saw this one released. Guess I’ll still have to listen to my 192 version which I found circulating on the net. What a tune though.
And another now classic with a different vibe/edit to it. Enjoy!
